This 2 days 1 night program package is tough and challenging. All stocks of physical, mental endurance and fighting spirit are at stake to answer various challenges to reach the final goal of climbing, namely the top of the mountain. This package seems less friendly for climbers who have physical limitations and give up easily. But it gives tough fighters an advantage with a fighting mentality to cleverly manage time and get around the terrain. Mountain climbing is not just a matter of physical exercise, mental and kinetic skills. But it's more than that. All your mathematical competencies and intelligence in managing time, spatial intelligence, natural intelligence and other intelligence, will be tested and put at stake. Sorry, we regret to inform you, this package is not recommended for beginners and seniors (55 years and over).
This extreme package is short in duration and exhausting, specifically for experienced, well-trained climbers who are in prime physical and mental condition. The length of the travel route, from the starting point of the climb to the peak, is 11 km, with an average travel time of 13 hours. Round trip, up and down 22 km. The return journey time has decreased, usually faster. From the peak to Plawangan Sembalun to the exit point, Bawak Nao Sembalun, can be reached in 8 - 9 hours. So, the time needed for the trip is 22 hours. Plus the time to stay while camping at Plawangan Sembalun is 8 hours. So the total time in the 2D1N program package = 30 hours.
For outdoor sports fans who do not have specific qualifications, you should think carefully and consider carefully before taking this package program. This marathon journey has a wild and wild sensation, becoming a battleground for physicality, courage and skill. As the saying goes, "once the sail grows, never turn back before reaching the goal." The summit is the ultimate dream for every climber. Please, prepare physically and mentally as well as possible, several months in advance. Try not to “throw in the towel” before setting foot at the climax point.
Our experience over decades, and hundreds of times accompanying and serving climbers in this area, provides a wealth of provisions to provide friendly and friendly program packages for climbers outside this category. If you feel that this program package is heavy and burdensome, because it covers one part, please study other program packages which are more complete and provide freedom to enjoy various panoramas and challenging terrain throughout the Mount Rinjani National Park area.
This 2D1N program package only goes through 1 route, so it is often considered incomplete. The entrance, the route and the exit to the basecamp, nothing is different, they are exactly the same. The climbing route, plant vegetation zoning, and terrain typology of the trip when returning down, repeat the previous route. Along the way, comb and explore one side, namely the eastern part of the Mount Rinjani National Park area. Even though it is considered less varied, you don't need to be discouraged and mope. Along the route, the journey invites admiration and provides various sensations. It is as if we are sailing through various countries that have different natural panoramic backgrounds. Once upon a time we were in an agro-cultural based country, then shifted through a tropical forest country, continued to a country with a savanna feel, the heartbeat became louder when we crossed a country with a hilly background, and ended up in a desert country.
The 2D1N program package does not reach Segara Anak Lake. Time and physics do not allow us to turn around and stop at the dream lake of this universal creature. The route taken is limited to Bawak Nao Sembalun - Plawangan Sembalun - Puncak and back via the original route and post. There are no other path and terrain options. Once again, this program package is very suitable for climbers who have short time and are in a hurry. The ultimate goal of climbing is to conquer the peak. Not surfing, exploring and exploring the entire Mount Rinjani National Park area, from the east end to the west end.
Travel terrain conditions along the route, horizontal and uphill. Plant vegetation zoning and regional typology, in the form of: plantations - savanna - short forest - savanna ocean - hills, rocks and sea of sand. Along the route from the starting point of the climb, up to the top of the mountain, there are posts, places to rest for a moment or take a nap. At each post while wiping sweat and getting rid of fatigue, it is also used to open logistical supplies, drink, snacks and eat (lunch - dinner - and breakfast after the summit). The camping area to stay overnight and prepare supplies for the summit is at Plawangan Sembalun.
