It's incomplete to mention Bali without Rinjani. Mount Rinjani is a tourist destination that fulfills the requirements to mingle with nature. Especially for you fans of outdoor adventure, exploring the wilderness of tropical rain forests, exploring the savanna ocean at ease, observing animals, camping, enjoying the natural panorama of Lombok Island, climbing mountains with an altitude of 3,726 meters above sea level on the equator, watching the volcanic smoke of Mount Rinjani which is still active, while evoking historical fantasy about the explosive dynamics of nature that started thousands of years ago, and most importantly, of course, enjoying the sunrise and sunsite views.

Especially from the end of March to December, all year round. The best and most popular visiting season is from April to November. When compared, the exoticism of Rinjani has many advantages over other mountains that are usually used as climbing spots, such as Mount Semeru and Mount Bromo on the island of Java, Mount Agung on the island of Bali, and Mount Tambora on the island of Sumbawa.
This recognition was made by various groups of nature lovers and mountain climbers from various parts of the world, and a number of leading campuses in Indonesia, such as the University of Indonesia, Bandung Institute of Technology, Gadjah Mada University, Bogor Agricultural Institute, Airlangga University, and others. All serious enthusiasts, who have sufficient spirit and physical readiness, can reach the top of Rinjani.
When you are at the top of Rinjani, you can see most of the views of the northern and eastern parts of Lombok Island. Usually tourists are at the peak for 7 hours, between 05.00 to 12.00 WITA. In this place, unfortunately, you are not free to linger. Because, after 10:00, the weather usually turns less friendly. Occasionally, a sudden windstorm would hit. The air temperature at the peak is in the range of 8º C to 2º C. Within 5 hours, your view will be spoiled by a dish of harmonious natural panoramas. Looking to the west of Rinjani's cone, you enjoy the natural charm of a caldera with an area of about 3,500 m × 4,800 m, extending east and west.
In this caldera there is a crescent-shaped lake Segara Anak covering an area of 1,100 hectares with a depth of 160-230 meters. The water that flows from this lake forms a very beautiful waterfall, flowing through a steep ravine. In the middle of this lake appears a new volcanic mountain that is still active and continues to grow. In Segara Anak there are goldfish, tilapia, tilapia and others, so the area around this lake is also a pleasant place for fishing and other outdoor sports. The southern part of the lake is called Segara Endut, which was formed by the eruption of Mount Rinjani thousands of years ago.
Located on the island of Lombok, East Indonesia, Rinjani is the second highest volcano in Indonesia, after Mount Kerinci on the island of Sumatra (3,805 meters above sea level). The geographical position of Mount Rinjani volcano is 8º25' South Latitude and 116º28' East Longitude, above the expanse of the Mount Rinjani National Park area which covers about 41,330 hectares. As a very active volcano, Rinjani's oldest eruption according to historical records occurred in 1257. As you know, in Indonesia there are 129 volcanoes, or 13% of the world's volcanic population, so that this equatorial country is also known as a country that stretches across on the ring of fire.
A spate of volcanic activity throughout 1994-1995 resulted in further growth of the crater cone of Mount Baru, since renamed Mount Barujari (Finger Mountain). From April 27 to May 2009, Mount Barujari showed activity, until the climbing route was closed from May to December 2009 due to intensive eruptions with plumes of smoke and ash as high as 8,000 m. Mount Rinjani last erupted in 2015.
This mountain with a variety of charms, including natural panoramas, diversity of flora and fauna, has received various world awards. Mount Rinjani always invites admiration, and even arouses the desire of fans and outdoor sports enthusiasts to come visit and climb. The splendor and luxury of Mount Rinjani is not just related to the height that makes the heart flutter. Not only because of the beauty of the geological landscape, and the caldera which is diverse in shape, shape and color. But the climbing route is challenging and adrenaline pumping with different vegetation zoning on each route.
